Laurel Hill Cemetery is an event space unlike any other in Philly. It's historic, and you feel this as soon as you step through its massive iron gates. But it also feels natural, organic, and appropriately spooky. Every year the Friends of Laurel Hill host several creepy-themed movie nights. The one I photographed for them was "Death Becomes Her". I saw the movie myself many years ago, but even just listening to it this time around was fun. Surrounded by strangers as twilight settled on the hills, I felt like part of a community. Working as a Philadelphia event photographer takes me to lots of unique places, but Laurel Hill is one of my favorites. If you have a chance to check out the movie offerings for "Cinema in the Cemetery" this year, I highly recommend it.
